Congratulations to Lowanna College students, Steph and Lachie, who recently participated in the Rotary Model United Nations Assembly (MUNA), held at Nossal High School, Berwick, and represented Brazil. They did themselves and their school proud and took out the Best National Dress Award

Twenty-six delegations from various schools across two Rotary Districts, represented UN-Member States. They debated four resolutions across the day.  Topics included the global environment; restructure of the UN Security Council; protection of the international trade routes, and regulation of social media.

Steph and Lachie were excellent ambassadors for their school and engaged wholeheartedly in the 'Spirit of MUNA'. The Rotary Club of Moe sponsored the delegation and were very pleased it was such a positive experience.Steph and Lachie agreed their debating and public speaking skills were sharpened as a result of participating in Rotary MUNA 2023.Pictured right is AP Michael Lakeman, teacher Emma Arthur, Lachie, Steph, and Moe Rotarian (and Chair of MUNA Committee), Di Harrison.
