Club News and Updates
President's Report:

At last Monday night’s meeting, Co-President Alan Bishop and I reported to members the key
areas we will focus on throughout the year.
We will continue to support Youth Programs, Foundation/Grants, Wheelchairs for Kids,
International (Bali Project) and the Gippsland Rotary Golf Classic. We will also be looking
into participating in Clean Up Australia Day, which will enable our Club to involve the wider
community and help promote our Club to potential members.
Robin Noakes reported the latest Wheelchairs for Kids total, with 111 chairs funded since
2022 through club fundraisers and donations — a tremendous effort by all involved.
Next week, our guest speakers will be District Representative, Barry Rogers (Chair of RYPEN)
and Hannah Flower, who participated in the RYPEN program.

Bali School Project – New Toilets

The Rotary Club of Moe has continued to support the Banyuning School in Bali
through our International program. We have recently completed our most recent
project which delivered two new toilets and a septic tank to help meet the needs of
the increasing number of students at the school. The toilets were constructed by
local contractors, with regular reports provided back to the Club until completion.
Past President Michael Koch is the main contact person in our Club for the Bali
“Adopt A School” program and maintains regular contact with the school. The cost
of the toilet project was met through Rotary Club of Moe funds and donations. We
greatly appreciate the financial support that has been received from businesses and
individuals which has significantly helped to complete this project.

I would like to acknowledge the contribution made by Annette Mikecz in a relatively short period of time with us at Moe Rotary.
I have no doubt that Annette was committed to our club and its members, as indicated by this email which I share with you.
It is an unfortunate quirk of fate whereby a shift to Melbourne cma t just the wrong time for us.

Dear Roger,
Wishing you at Moe Rotary all the very best. I wanted to extend a heartfelt thank you to you and Di for making me feel welcome as well as the whole club who I enjoyed meeting and spending time with and also thoroughly enjoyed helping out at the Good Friday Appeal RCH fundraiser.
The Golf Day was great as well.
I have moved back to Melbourne as my role finished at the end of June and there was a lot to organise and pack up the unit at La Trobe Village in a short amount of time.
I really enjoyed meeting everyone and if I would have stayed then no doubt would have been more than happy to join the Rotary Club of Moe.
Thank you again to everyone.
Wish everyone all the best in health and prosperity.
Best Regards
Annette Mikecz (Speech Pathologist)
