Happy Easter to one and all.
A smaller meeting this week with several members under the weather. Wishing good health and
recoveries to Jamie, Bill, and Ross.
Nevertheless the meeting was lively as we gave feedback and analysed aspects of the Gippsland
Rotary Classic Golf day held on 27 March. Some very useful comments and constructive ideas for
next year.
I have already acknowledged the great team effort put in by the Club, making this a signature event
for us. The financial result was very solid too, and as this goes to press it looks like the net proceeds
are around $23,000.
I meant to mention at our meeting on Monday that District Assembly is being held at Nossal High
School Berwick on Sat 22nd April. I have found this event to a useful reminder of the breadth and
depth of Rotary activities. I am going and am willing to offer a lift to any members who wish to join
me. This event is particularly suited to newer members who are still getting their heads around the
role of Rotary outside our club.
Sat 22nd April & 23rd 9.00am – District Assembly Avenues of Service for all Rotarians in
D9820. Nossal High School, Berwick. Please register for this free event.

As to Easter Monday 10 April, there is no club meeting. If anyone fancies a get together, Kate and I can host a dinner event at our place. It will be a very simple affair, just let us know before Monday if you are coming. 5:30 pm, so we can cook outside if the weather is kind enough.
A special mention for Barry who has hurt his Achilles tendon, apparently while eating dinner,( which
puzzles him as he normally uses his hands to eat food).
And safe travels for Roger and Irene as they
head of to Hawaii.
Finally welcome back Helen Mac. Hope to hear good stories from you South Korea trip.
