Hi everyone!

I would like to welcome back Helen MacDonald from her holiday in South Korea.

On Monday night our guest speaker was Neil Cooper who enlightened us all about Bravehearts 777 Marathon. The 777 stands for 7 marathons, 7 states in 7 days.

Braveheart 777 marathon is an organization for Child protection and treatment of sexual abuse. This is the only one of its kind in Australia. For the national runners their day starts at 5.30am and finishes at 10.30pm that night. In those 7 days runners complete their marathon and fly to the next state, fitting in food, rest and treatments for muscles.

Neil’s son Curtis also takes part in these marathons and has ran already run 15 of them. Curtis plans to run 52 marathons in 52 weeks throughout the financial year beginning with
the 777 on June 30th with the first run in Perth. Curtis plans to run 3 marathons a month and raise $250.000 for Bravehearts 777 as well raise much awareness as possible.

Curtis’s wife Claire supported Bravehearts 777 marathon in 2024 as a volunteer when Curtis was running.  Claire has seen how rewarding this was to be part of Bravehearts 777 so she will
be joining Curtis as a National runner. GOOD LUCK CURTIS AND CLAIRE!
It’s not long now until our changeover, the event will take place on Monday 30th June 2025 in the function room at the Moe Hotel for a 6.00pm -6.30 start. A two-course meal will be
provided at $35.00 per head, and the function room bar will be available. If you are attending, please let Maureen Bishop know for planning of meals.

RYLA 2025.
Can Moe Rotary find a suitable 18-30 year old candidate to attend this year's Rotary Youth leadership Awards program at CYC Adventure Resort, Phillip Island on 14-19 July 2025.
Pertinent information -
*RYLA builds communication and problem solving skills, presents strategies for becoming dynamic leaders and surrounds the participants with inspirational speakers, peer mentors and community leaders.
*RYLA is no cost to participants. Our Rotary Club would fund the participant or leader covering the $1650 costs.
*You may know someone with emerging leadership potential amongst family and friends, recent graduates, past RYPEN, MUNA or NYSF Rotary programs.
*Other possibilities could be local small businessesthat don't have the ability to send their staff to expensive professional development seminars.
*Additional focus areas may include local community groups (sporting clubs, etc), volunteers with CFA or similar) or young community leaders.
Please contact Roger, or anyone on Club Board if you are aware of possible RYLA participants.
