Presidents for 2025-2026
Len Cairns and Alan Bishop
The Rotary Club of Moe is pleased to announce a shared presidency for the 2025–2026 Rotary year.

Len Cairns will serve as President from July to December 2025, with Alan Bishop assuming the role from January to June 2026.
Together, Presidents Len and Co President Alan are united in their commitment to the Rotary International theme, “Unite for Good.”

We are rapidly approaching the end of the first 6 months of the Rotary year. Last Monday
we had our largest event outside of our Annual Rotary Golf Day. This was our Schools Pride
of Workmanship Event where each of the schools in the 3825 postcode area are asked to
recommend an outstanding student who contributes to the school community and their
peers.

Over 90 people, students, family members and Rotarians celebrated with a free BBQ at Old
Gippstown function room. Certificates and a financial award were distributed to 13 winners.
What a great evening it was. Roget Taylor will be presenting a detailed report elsewhere in
our Bulletin. Thank you to all our Rotary members who worked to make this such a
successful event.

The work on the Round Rose garden at the Moe Rotary Community Gardens is continuing.
We are, with council approval, removing the old soil to put better draining into the bed and
preparing for new soil and plantings over summer.
Next week will be our last formal meeting and I will be handing over the President's Chain to

Alan Bishop. It has been a pleasure to stand as President for the first 6 months of this 2025-
2026 year. Thank you to all Moe Rotarians for your support and let's continue to strengthen
our club.

Remember that we have a social dinner for our Christmas Party on Saturday 20th at Penny
Lane Cafe in Moe. (5.30 start).
