President's Report
The Club’s main focus this week was supporting the arrival of the Snow Train at Moe
Railway Station. Members were on hand to serve tea, coffee and noodle cups to the many
passengers waiting to board the train back to Melbourne after their day at Mt Baw Baw and
Old Gippstown.
Despite the chilly weather, Alan Bishop, Alan Sinnott, Helen MacDonald, Diane Wilkinson
and myself ensured travellers were welcomed with a hot drink before embarking on the
final leg of their journey.
Last Monday’s meeting took the form of an informal social dinner at the Moe Hotel Bistro,
as several members are currently away on holidays. Those who were able to attend enjoyed
a relaxed and friendly evening together.
A reminder that our meeting next Monday, 10 August, will feature ‘Travelogue Snapshots’,
where members who have recently been on holidays are invited to share their stories.
Please let Roger know if you would like to participate

Secretary's Report
Program for 10 August
As Moe Hotel is hosting a wake on this day which won't end until 7.00 I've told Craig that we will order and eat in the bistro before moving into our room after 7.00 for our meeting.
"My Travelogue Snapshots"
This will be a members' contribution program. Many of us have had recent travels so you are invited to share a 2 minute synopsis of your adventures (text Rog to be included in this program).
Helen Mac, Diane and I have agreed to present a Travel Snapshot but the more the merrier. Just inform me of your interest please.
It is probably necessary to have this proposed evening of entertainment because by 10/8 we will have had board, club assembly and the informal dinner.
Please offer to join the fun.
Don't forget that I'm looking for volunteer emcees for 2 programs on August 17 and 24. I will provide details to those kind volunteers.
Di has offered to emcee our guests Janet and Peter Wallis on 17 August.
I am still seeking a volunteer for Vicky Hamilton from GARDS on 24 August. I don't want to introduce her as I am their August guest speaker (telling them about Rotary) the following day.
