Gippsland Rotary Centenary House is very proud to be a recipient of funds from the Gippsland Branch of the Blue Ribbon Foundation. The Blue Ribbon Foundation has donated $80,000 towards our Stage 3 building. A dedication to a fallen officer will be conducted for Stage 3 once the building is complete. Our sincere appreciation to the Blue Ribbon Foundation for their donation. Dave Swainsbury, GRCH Acting Chairman accepted the cheque on  from the BRF

Rotary Shirts

Members have been asking about Rotary Shirts and the Board suggested a bulk order to economise on p&p.

Please look at RDU site   http://rdusupplies.com.au/apparel/clothing

for "Rotary United Men's Polo Shirt,  or womens" to determine size required

Investigation indicates cost, including Postage and Embroidery, will be about $42 each, depending on numbers.

(Includes $4 p&p and $7.70 embroidery)

If less, we will only pass on actual costs.

Robin is willing to get the show moving if there are enough orders to make it worthwhile.

Please place $42 in envelope with your name and Size required.

Suggested cut off would be 4 March so we could try to have them for golf day on 25th. Robin says it's tight but worth a shot.

Cheers

Robin

Knicker stitcher
Paddy and Mick were both laid off so they went to the Centrelink office. When asked about his occupation, Paddy answered "Knicker stitcher,.. I sew da elastic onto ladies knickers and thongs"

The clerk looked up Knicker Stitcher on the computer and finding it classified as unskilled labour, awarded Paddy $180 a week as unemployment pay

Mick was next and when asked his occupation, replied "Diesel Fitter"

The clerk looked that up and found that diesel fitter was a skilled job and awarded Mick $360 a week

When Paddy found out, he was furious. He stormed back into the Centrelink office to find out why his buddy was collecting double his pay

The clerke explained "Knicker stitchers are classed as unskilled labour and diesel fitters are skilled labour"

"What skill?" Yelled Paddy. " I sew da elastic on da knickers and thongs, then Mick puts 'em over his head and says "Yep, diesel fitter"
