Our land abounds in natures gifts,
Of beauty rich and rare,
In history's page, let every stage
Advance Australia Fair!
In joyful strains then let us sing,
"Advance Australia Fair!"
FOUR WAY TEST
1.
Is it the TRUTH?
2. Is it FAIR to all concerned?
3. Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?

Len’s Log 25

Wow! We have reached halfway of the Rotary year!

A great first half, a number of changes, some small some potentially large. We will press on to have a top half year where our major fund raiser, the Charity Golf Day and associated raffle will be on again. With changes in our committee I am sure the great tradition of this event with lots of teams and many sponsors will continue. Wendy Farmer is heading up the committee on the Golf Day and we need everyone’s support to make it happen BIG!

Our Christmas event is this coming Monday 19th and we are all asked to dress up “Christmassy”, but there will only be one Santa.

We break from the 19th December till 9th January when we resume at the Botanic Gardens for our usual partners and all start to 2017!

I want to take this time to thanks all Rotarians in the Rotary Club of Moe for a great first half. We have, in the second half of the Rotary year, the challenge of bringing to out club new members, and the need to think and implement new ideas for additional fund raising for club projects to succeed.

So have a safe and celebratory Christmas and look forward to a terrific New Year for 2017.

Requests for Assistance
1. Community Service - Alan Bishop:
We have had a request to assist with a garden clean up at Good Beginnings, 41 Prince Street, moe.
The job, if we accept it, will require 4 Rotarians to work for approximately 4 hours each.
I will seek interest in this project at our next meeting.

2. Damian Whittle - President of Peninsula Rotaract Club.
Damian is participating in a 4000 kilometre bike ride from Melbourne to Cairns over 45 days with the aim of inspiring and empowering people to live healthy and active lives through healthy participation programs.
All riders are committed to raise $5000 for "Steer North", a not-for-profit organisation raising funds for the Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Care Centre.
This is an amazing commitment by a young Rotactor. Ifyou would like to make a donation to support the project contact

Last Week's Puzzler
A man is pushing his car from street to street.
In one location his sister demands money from him because he needs to stay in her hotel.
Things go from bad to worse, and he soon ends up in gaol.
What is going on in this situation?
Solution - They are playing Monopoly.

*Reminder from Kishor regarding Make-ups*
Kishor notes that many of us are attending service work, club visits etc. and not informing him.
As he is keen to have an accurate attendance figure, he encourages us all to inform him of make-ups so that he can adjust his (our) records.
