Of beauty rich and rare,
In history's page, let every stage
Advance Australia Fair!
In joyful strains then let us sing,
"Advance Australia Fair!"
FOUR WAY TEST
1.
Is it the TRUTH?

3. Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?

All projects, scholars, and vocational training teams funded by global grants work toward specific goals in one or more of the Foundation’s six areas of focus:

  APRIL
Maternal and Child Health Month.

By prioritising Maternal and Child Health, Rotary establishes and supports projects which improve access to medical services for mothers and their children. These efforts are aimed at reducing the number of children under 5 who die from poor health practices each year.

President Michaels Mumbles.
In my absence last week, the old team of Bruce Paull and Dave Wood admirably controlled the program. Thanks guys.
I understand that Bryon capably "retrained" our members in the most effective use of our club website. We are informed that it is one of the very best district resources, and I encourage club members to make full use of its content. As it is regularly updated by Bryon, readers will find that material is almost always current. The various links provide untold information on a wide variety of topics.

The next big event for the club will be Energy Australia Open Day, Sunday, 17 April, which is not far away.

Michael.

The Key to Club Success
The Key to Club Success.

MEMBERSHIP is the greatest challenge in Rotary today. However we must get our facts correct when we attempt to implement a Rotary Club Membership Acquisition and Retention Plan.

Statistics over the last 10 years in Australia clearly show that we acquire new members in good numbers BUT at the end of each year we lose more than we gain.

Therefore the major problem is RETENTION!

RETENTION is the sole responsibility of each club.

Clubs that have the best membership growth figures have the same common traits.

They have FUN, PROMOTE FELLOWSHIP and STRONGLY SUPPORT THEIR LOCAL COMMUNITY.
SOUNDS SIMPLE!!

So let’s get back to basics and enjoy Rotary so that we may….

“BE A GIFT TO THE WORLD”.

Membership Visiion
Although Membership Month was August, Clubs should always be mindful of the opportunity to bring new members to Rotary at anytime.

Here are a few thought we may wish to consider as we face the ongoing challenge of membership.

The future of Rotary depends on a thriving and dynamic membership. It is only through the time and talents of our volunteers that we are able to make a difference in our community.

OUR VISION FOR THE FUTURE COULD BE:
Our vision for our Club in the future could be to encapsulate a dynamic, vibrant and thriving service club organisation where members are proud to join and keen to stay. A club organisation could be characterised by:

• Diversity
• Informed and skilled Rotarians
• Innovative and flexible
• Strategic partnerships
• Well recognised and understood

To achieve sustained membership development and growth, focus could be on the following five strategic priorities.
1. Increase membership diversity
2. Develop informed and skilled Rotarians
3. Support innovative and flexible clubs
4. Create strategic partnerships
5. Well understood with growth
