Hi everyone!

Hope you enjoyed your long weekend.

Last week being Kings Birthday, our club didn’t meet that night so there won’t be much to report. In three weeks, it will be our changeover and our incoming President will be PP Len
Cairns. I have enjoyed my term as President as there were so many special events for our club during the year.

Our last guest speaker for the year on Monday will be PP Michael Koch. Michael will be giving a presentation on” Adopt a School” Project at the Bunyuning School in Bali.
Moe Rotary Club has been supporting this program for 17 years now by supplying essentials that are needed for their education.

Well that’s all I have to say.

President Lyn

“Adopt a School” Project Activities in 2025

The Rotary Club of Moe has continued with our association with the Bunyuning School in Bali through the provision of uniform items, specifically vests and shirts for students. Uniforms are
compulsory for school attendance and many of the families in this area often struggle to provide full uniforms for all of their children. This project helped to support all students to attend school, which has a positive impact on educational opportunities and outcomes. This aligns with the Rotary area
of focus of Supporting Education.
Currently, there are 248 students who attend the school and we facilitated the purchase of shirts and vests for all students. Over the years we have purchased other uniform items and this project builds on those previous projects which assists both students and families.
The project was coordinated through our International/Foundation work and supported by a Rotary
District 9815 Foundation Grant. Past President Michael Koch visited the school in late 2024 to review other work previously undertaken at the school and investigated arrangements needed to facilitate the purchase of the uniforms locally in Bali. Michael then reviewed progress of purchases and coordinated payments as required.

Changeover 2025

Plans are well underway for our 2025 Changeover, where we will be inducting both Len Cairns and Alan Bishop. Len will serve from July to December 2025, after which Alan will take over from January to June 2026.

The event will take place on Monday, 30th June 2025, in the function room at the Moe Hotel. We will  gather from 6:00 pm for a 6:30 pm start. A two-course meal will be provided at a cost of $35.00 per  person, and the function room bar will be open for drink sales.

To assist with the financial arrangements, members are kindly requested to make payment online, if  possible, prior to the event.

Additionally, to ensure smooth planning for meals and final arrangements, please confirm your  attendance, with Secretary Maureen, at your earliest convenience and no later than Monday, 16th June.

Maureen Bishop

Secretary
