Di's Dialogue #5

This week most of us have a night off except for Board members!!

Our hardworking Secretary, Maureen, has sent out an agenda, together with supporting documents.

The Zoom meeting invitation is included in the email.

Thanks again to Rog Taylor for organising our special guest speaker, Bonnie Lai, on Monday. I certainly enjoyed her presentation to the Club and Bonnie has much enthusiasm for her role with Moe Life Skills and enjoys working at Moe Life Skills. Clearly she feels lucky to be part of a great culture where participants, staff and board members are treated as equals and everyone is challenged to the best of their ability.

See you all in Zoom-land next Monday, (4th Monday of the month), where we will have a Club Assembly and our session ‘At the Podium’.

Take care, stay safe and mask-up when out!

President Di

Guest Speaker Aug 10
Guest Speaker: Monday August  10

Presenter: Bonnie Lai (Marketing and Project Officer), Moe Life Skills

Bonnie will talk to us about how MLS provides local service those in need within our community. She will mention the organisation in general, coping strategies during COVID-19, keeping clients connected and tackling pertinent issues.

Bonnie joined Moe Life Skills in 2016 to assist with its rebranding and marketing activities. She has undertaken a rebuild of the organisation’s website and launch of its Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn accounts.

She enjoys working at Moe Life Skills because she feels lucky to be part of a great culture where participants, staff and board members are treated as equals and everyone is challenged to the best of their ability. She can’t say enough good things about Moe Life Skills and hopes people will come and find out for themselves what a special place this is.

Bonnie has a business and education background, having worked in business development for various organisations in Hong Kong and Australia. She has a number of ongoing projects and splits her time between various business and local community projects that she feels passionate about. Bonnie has recently been involved with a project aimed at tackling youth unemployment and education barriers in the Latrobe Valley.

Bonnie holds a degree in:

  • Bachelor of Communications (Advertising, Public Relations and Journalism)
