This week I have started my 'Dialogue' with a quote about adaptability:
"Things change. The only thing constant is change. It's up to you to be adaptable" - Anonymous
Change is upon us as we venture forth and trial a new potential meeting venue.
I sent out an email via Clubrunner to all members on Saturday morning with information about arrangements for Monday night. Please take time to read that email so you are prepared and know what to expect. Hopefully that will make the change easier to adjust to...
Our Club Assembly meeting will be a face-to-face meeting in the Hillside Pavilion Room at the Moe Racing Club. Robin Noakes and I will be trialling Zoom during the meeting to see if we can successfully offer 'hybrid' meetings in the future.
The goal is to be able to offer members a choice of meeting mode if they cannot attend a face-to-face meeting due to health reasons or travel plans.
I have asked Chairs to contact members of their committee to verbally pass on key information regarding arrangements for Monday 25 January Club Assembly:
- 6pm for 6.30 prompt start at the Hillside Pavilion meeting room, Moe Racing Club.
- For those unable to attend face-to-face, there is a ZOOM link (included in the email) which will let you listen in, but NOT join the conversation.
- The meeting will run for 45 minutes, ending at 7.15pm so those who wish to have a meal can go the Bistro and buy one.
- If you want a drink and some nibbles please buy them on entering and signing into the Club and bring up to the Pavilion meeting room.
- There is NO BAR service in the meeting room. Leaving the meeting to go for a drink will take at least 5 minutes and disrupt your participation in the meeting.
If the venue is acceptable to members, then it will be booked for the 4th Monday of the month, excluding Public Holidays. There is no cost to our club and I thank the Moe Racing Club for their support and especially Casey, who was open to suggestions and problem solved issues that were identified!
I look forward to seeing everyone on Monday and if you are unable to attend, please ensure you apologize to Shen Guo.
I hope you all keep safe during this very warm weekend and enjoy whatever you are planning. If you are concerned about the heat on Monday, the Pavilion is air conditioned, so we will be very comfortable!!
Kind regards to all,
President Di
