I am so pleased to report the BBQ project reached a milestone this week, with power on and
electrics working. A big shout out to Alan and Barry again. The final acceptance by Latrobe City
awaits the return of the Council Officer from leave. It won’t be long before the safety fence comes
down.
5 club members attended the Cluster meeting at Traralgon Golf Club last Monday. There were 10
clubs represented to welcome 8 International Convention guests from New York County, Finger Lake
region. The Internationals invited us to join a reciprocal fellowship exchange to their clubs next year.
Any interested members should contact Charlie Spiers in Traralgon.
As the end of the year is approaching we are obliged to update member lists with Rotary
International, as this sets our (current members x fees) invoice. This has to be done before the end
of June and cannot be backdated. I hope there are none but, would members who might be
considering not continuing their membership please contact Secretary Di Harrison.
A great deal of energy was in the room on 1 st May when we discussed budgets for 23/24 and our
ability to support projects such as the Bali school toilet relocation. Before the topic goes “cold” I am
keen to ask EVERYONE to apply their minds to ideas for additional fund raisers. I am happy to have
any list of ideas emailed to me now. Please, everyone, send me at least 2 ideas. When we get the
brains trust together we can pore over the submissions.
Finally, I know a number of members have been having health issues and undergoing procedures.
You are in our thoughts.

The criteria can be as simple as...
friendly helpful manner
always courteous and considerate
bright, fresh personality
often goes the hard yards on your behalf
a credit to their particular business house
You may witness other characteristics which have impressed you as you have done business in and around Moe.
Consider nominating your favourite employee by submitting to Roger, chair of the Vocation Committee the name of your recommendation, who he/she works for and the criteria which has most impressed you.
I will require your recommendation by mid June for an August Rotary presentation evening.
