Meeting at Moe RSL 6.00pm for 6.30pm
Robin's Rambles#6
We had a slightly different meeting this week as our guest speaker Brad Graham was unwell and
unable to attend. Given a choice of a review of a photo review our golf day in March or a devious
quiz, members went with the quiz. A decision quickly regretted!. Suffice it to say the spread of
correct answers was broad. Alan Sinnott made a welcome return from leave to join with Dave Wood
in taking out the suitably minimal prize.
Roger asked us all to think about opportunities to bring businesses and sponsors to the golf day
which is on Monday 27th March 2023.
Len Cairns advised we are supplying tea and coffee to Snow Train visitors from 4 to 6 pm on 13
August. Anyone wishing to support this event please contact Len. He also reported we have
borrowed some barricades for the pending demolition of the old BBQ in the Botanic gardens. The
2 nd week of the Grumble passed with Maureen winning $5. The jackpot grows.
In our tribute to Australia, Roger reminded us that the origins of some folklore may be based on
typo's in a rendition of Bullocky Bill.
Our guest speaker on Monday is Neil Akers. From Roger's description this will be a very interesting
talk.

Visit to Bunutan School Bali
Michael Koch is soon off to SDN 3 Bunutan school Bali, with some boxes of donated spectacles
and 3M face masks. He has 30kg of goods to deliver to the school. Our relationship with this school
goes back a long way and the club has made several visits, the last was October 2019. It is great to
be shaking off the Covid shackles and getting back to business.
