Hi everyone!

Well, I’m back in the chair for 24-25.

On Monday night we had an annual changeover and also celebrated our 75th anniversary of Moe Rotary. It was great to see so many past Rotarians come along to help celebrate with us.
Our guests for the night were PDG Mark Humphries, Linda Humphries, Colin Byron and partner Leanne. On the night we donated $5000 to Gippsland Rotary Centenary House. GRCH is a non-for- profit self-care accommodation facility for patients or families of the Gippsland Cancer Care Centre and special medical services in the Latrobe Regional Hospital.

I also had the pleasure in presenting Roger Taylor his 20 year of service certificate with the club.

After receiving the chain of office from DG Linda Humphries and all the formalities had finished, we
then moved onto our 75th celebration starting with Chairman Robin Noakes, and then Ross Maxfield speaking on some of the memories over the years. Robin had put together a slide show with photos going back as 1949 and bringing back memories for the Rotarians as well as some laughs.

On Wednesday Albert Street Primary partnered with Roary Club of Moe and had a wheelathon to launch my 2nd year. The day was organized by 12 Rotary Junior Community students with activities such as face painting, sausage sizzle, cake stalls and bean bag throwing as well as wheelchair races.
The entire school had fun day. The result after the day was with donations over time and fundraising, they raised $3950 enough to buy 14 wheelchairs. For a small school of 130 students, it is
so amazing
The Rotary Club is proud to have partnered with Albert Street Primary School, and a huge thank you for all your effort.

On Monday night Robin will be bringing along some slides of the changeover and anniversary, it would be great to see.

That’s all for now

President
Lyn
