On behalf of President Di, I wish to welcome everyone back and hope you all had a great Christmas with your family. Di is currently in Melbourne assisting her daughter with a new premature baby.
Unfortunately, the year has not started how we all would have hoped with COVID spreading through the community.
Our annual bbq at the Botanic Gardens was replaced with a BYO casual catch up for any members who were available. Approximately 10 members met and enjoyed a socially distanced meeting.
As advised in an email dated 18th January, we will be trialing a Hybrid meeting every 2nd and 4th Monday of the month commencing this Monday 24th January. This has been arranged in order to cater for members who wish to meet F2F and for those who do not wish to meet in public at this time. Robin will be forwarding out a Zoom link prior to the meeting.
If you are considering coming along to the RSL please ensure you are there in time to order your meal prior to commencement at 6.30 sharp. The first hour of the meeting will focus on reports, golf update and raffle arrangements.
On a much happier note, congratulations are in order for John Hutchinson, who, on 18th January 2022, celebrated 40 years in Rotary. John joined our club on 18th January 1982, was President in 1987/88 and has held the role of Sergeant seven times. John coordinated the Gippsland Rotary Golf Classic for 17 years along with his wife, Norma and continues to participate in all aspects of Rotary. Congratulations John on reaching a wonderful milestone.
Have a great weekend and see you all on Monday
