Monday night we had our RJCA awards. There were eight students in attendance,
seven from Albert Street Primary School and one from South Street Primary School.
The students gave a brief presentation on their personal experience on the Rotary
Program. The students had various tasks to complete, which gave them experience
and confidence in themselves.
Last Saturday I attended the Rotary Community Group Gathering Expo in Bairnsdale.
The program highlights included a walk along the banks of the Mitchell River to
promote awareness of Domestic Violence. Seventeen Rotarians participated in the
walk. Our new Rotary Community Leader for Gippsland Rotary is Di Harrison.
After lunch Di Harrison spoke on family violence and then we had our expo. I learnt
about what other clubs are doing and presented our Wheelchairs 4 Kids project, Bali
and Golf Day.
It was a very enjoyable day meeting other Rotarians.
