I hope you all had a good Easter. I’m pleased to report that Ross is on the mend after a dose of Flu.
Di Harrison is back from Japan, having had an amazing time. She will share her experiences with the
railway system if asked!
Jamie is firing on all 5 cylinders, and will be back for Club Assembly on 24 April, and finally Len is in
the wars with his elbow, we wish him well with prospective surgery.
Please note this Monday is a Board meeting, so no meeting at the RSL.
Progress on the BBQ shelter/BBQ continues. This week the tops of the BBQ plinths were poured to
an exact measurement, and if Alan’s Dumpy level is “good” they are within 1-2mm. So, the BBQ top
and workbench should be level. The inside roof trusses were repainted to repair minor
scratches/scrapes which occurred during the build. Next week we pour the “tidy up” grout mix
around the feet of the posts, which will hide the anchor bolts and make the floor a continuous flat
surface.

From the Golf team, Maureen has prepared thank you letters for all our major sponsors. These are
to be hand delivered with a verbal thank you as well. Maureen is contacting the Rotarians to follow
up their own sponsor contacts.
Several of us are going to District Assembly on 22 April. Please contact me if you would like a lift.
