Club News and Updates
President's Report:
On Monday night, our Club held its 77th Annual Changeover, a wonderful evening shared with
Rotarians, partners, and friends of Rotary.
Special guests included Past District Governor Bill Degnan and his wife Judy, along with Tania
Whitehead, Guest Service Manager at Gippsland Rotary Centenary House. Also in attendance
were representatives from the Rotary Clubs of Morwell and Hazelwood, the Inner Wheel Club
of Moe and the Probus Clubs of Moe and Newborough.
This year, the Rotary Club of Moe will again have shared President roles. I will serve as
President from July to October, Alan Bishop will follow from November to February and Ross
Maxfield will serve from March to June.
A highlight of the evening was congratulating David Wilkinson on receiving a Paul Harris
Fellowship Award. This recognition is very well deserved, acknowledging David’s commitment
and willingness to support our hands-on projects.
We also acknowledged Len Cairns, who has resigned after 26 years of dedicated service to
Rotary Club of Moe. Len has contributed enormously through many leadership roles and his
significant work in the Botanic Gardens. Len was presented with a Certificate of Appreciation
and offered the position of an Honorary Member of the Club.
GRCH During the evening, we were pleased to present a $5,000 cheque to Gippsland Rotary
Centenary House. This donation will support the installation of a new split system.
Thank you to all who attended and supported this special occasion.
