Presidents for 2025-2026
Len Cairns and Alan Bishop
The Rotary Club of Moe is pleased to announce a shared presidency for the 2025–2026 Rotary year.

Len Cairns will serve as President from July to December 2025, with Alan Bishop assuming the role from January to June 2026.
Together, Presidents Len and Co President Alan are united in their commitment to the Rotary International theme, “Unite for Good.”

Another fascinating 2 weeks in the Rotary Club of Moe.

Last Wednesday, 19th November we were delighted to welcome to Moe Masato Odaka and
his wife Mitsuko from Japan. Masato was our first Rotary International Exchange student to
our club in 1977. His host families included the Larsen Family, the Power family and the Mc
Alister family, as well as time with the Bowleys and the Yeatmans.

A wonderful lunch was hosted by David and Jan Power with a number of members of the
families Masato had lived with in his year in Australia. Masato was very moved by the
turnout as he renewed his close friendships.

Later Masato and Mitsuko paid their respects to the McAlisters and the Larsens at the
Yallourn cemetery. Masato was the beginning of a long list of Rotary International Exchange students to our club over the last 45 years.

This week we held our Annual General Meeting and we will have a sequence of three
President over the 2026-2027 Rotary year: PP Lynn Cassar (July to October), PP Alan Bishop
(November to February) and PP Ross Maxfield (March to June). A great combination of
experience. Thank you for your stepping up for our club.
