Congratulations to the ‘We CAN Do Better’ team who braved a miserable weather day on Thursday to collect cans for the GCCC Care Arm Food Relief. Another tremendous result, with Moe people being very generous. Robin Lesney-Noakes was advised by one shopper that they had stacks of cans at home they could bring in, another person was moving to West Australia and suggested they might bring their stock of cans down.
The collection will run every Thursday in June from 10.00am to 4.00pm at Woolworths, Moe. Sessions run from 10.00am-12.00pm, 12.00pm-2.00pm, and 2.00pm-4.00pm. A minimum of two people is needed: one to be near the entry into the store and one to staff the collection table. This approach was very successful!
Thank you, Bill Connell, for your support in organising the roster and willingness to set-up and pack-up each week. Bill will circulate the roster to members so gaps can be filled.
