Moe Bulletin Issue #64
Rotary Club of Moe

Di's Dialogue #64
Hooray, we are finally able to meet face-to-face!
Just a reminder, we will meet at the Moe RSL on Monday night for 6.00pm for a 6.30pm start. As we
have not met at the RSL since March 2020, please try and arrive well before 6.30pm if possible. Staff
will be working hard to ensure everything runs smoothly.
To meet health orders, RSL staff have requested the following
Patrons are to enter the building through the front entrance only
Wear masks inside the venue
Use the QR code provided to check-in.
RSL staff will be checking COVID vaccination status of patrons. If you are not double vaccinated, you
will not be able to enter the venue nor will you be able to attend our Rotary meeting.
If you are an apology, please contact Shen Guo.
Robin Noakes and I attended a club compliance online webinar on Thursday evening which was
organised by District 9820. The presentation focused on COVID-19 implications for clubs regarding
State Government health orders. Club activities such as meetings, project activities, fundraising and
Rotary social activities must all meet State health orders, and I will provide more information to
members at our meeting on Monday.
We will have a guest speaker at our meeting and thank you to Rog Taylor for organising. Lisa
Twigger, Community Engagement Officer, Latrobe Regional Hospital, will be speaking about the LRH
Virtual Walk/Run. Money raised will go towards funding the ‘Wear House.’ A very worthy project so
come along to hear more about it! Ross Maxfield will be the Chairperson for that part of the
program.
Congratulations to the winner of the Melbourne Cup. As previously explained by Rog a donation of
either $2 or $5 for your saddle cloth can be made to the ARH ‘Lift the Lid on Mental Health’
fundraiser.
Stay safe everyone and I look forward to seeing everyone on Monday.
President Di
RJCA Albert St Primary School video presentation
I have just received a copy of the video presentation that 6 kids from Albert St made to us on Friday 29 October.
If you recall it was bit windy that day and some of you lost power!
Many would have liked to see the presentation, and the good news is that I have written permission from the school to share this with other Rotarians. The video is too large to email out.
So please bring a USB stick along the meeting on 8 Nov, and I will copy the video's onto your stick.
If you are like me, you will likely forget. So may I suggest that right now, yes, right now, you put a USB stick in your car.
I can promise you that you and your partner/wife/hubby/lodger will enjoy the presentation immensely.
See you on the 8th, USB stick in hand. 1GB of capacity is needed.
Thanks Robin
