Robin's Rambles #9
Club Assembly on 22 August was well attended, with Pete and Michael joining on Zoom. Welcome
back from Bali, Michael. We look forward to hearing about the trip to Bunutan.
Di Harrison briefed the club about the Zone 8 Regionalisation Project, with a slide show and
comprehensive explanation. At the end of the meeting a vote was taken regarding “should the
project go forward? The vote was substantially in favour. Any absentee member who wish to
access information about the Regionalisation Pilot project should use this link

There was a good turnout for the start of the Barbeque Shelter Project revamp in the Botanic
gardens on Monday 22nd . Thanks to Barry, Len, Alan B, Helen Mac, Jamie and Roger. With a huge
effort significant progress was made removing the smaller BBQ and the building roof. A follow up
session on Thursday removed the 2nd BBQ and posts. All that remains is a double trailer load of
bricks to go to recycling which I understand is scheduled for 0900 Monday 29th . Refer to Alan
Bishop for details. Photos below of the team “at it”.
Monday 29 is partners night at Twenty20, 25A Moore St MOE, 6:15 for 6:30pm. Hoping to see
you there for a nice relaxing night.
And HOT off the press, The Rotary Club of Moe has received a citation from International
President Shekhar Mehta for the year 2021-22. These citations result from the endeavours of
everyone in the Club, particularly the leadership team and especially Club President 2021-22
Di Harrison. Congratulations to everyone.
