Hi everyone!

The guest speaker for October, David Burt from Energy Australia, provided an update on the company’s closure plans and shared details about the Jeeralang Battery and Wooreen Energy Storage System projects. The presentation was both informative and engaging, prompting numerous questions from members and guests.

On Wednesday night Robin Noakes and I attended Rotary Club Warragal meeting, where Robin gave a presentation on Wheel Chair for Kids. The members found the presentation very informative.

Roger Taylor, Di Wilkinson, Ross Maxfield and Lyn Cassar went to Rotary Club of Morwell. On the night their guest speaker Dr Peter Harry Ballis spoke about Joice Nankivell Loch, a journalist, aid worker and author, she worked closely with the Society of friends and then went on to Poland with her husband, Sydney after WWI. For the rest of her life, she dedicated her time to helping refugees who were victims of wars. It was a very interesting to listen to.

Don’t forget the Elvis and Buddy Holly Show coming up December 7th. All proceeds to Wheel Chairs
for Kids. Tickets available now so book your table.

Next meeting there will be a short presentation World Polio Day.

Have a good weekend and stay safe.

That’s all for now

President
Lyn
