Hi everyone!
Well, the Matilda’s are off to the Paris Olympics, and we wish them all the best.
On Monday night some of the Rotarians went on a tour through Gippsland Century House which is a community owned facility that provides a safe, supportive and affordable accommodation. Century house contains 35 rooms that are fully contained that have been sponsored by different community groups. There is also kitchens, dining rooms, lounge rooms and outdoor area with a BBQ for the patients. There stay is about 6 weeks. There is one staff member and the rest are all volunteers
My new total for Wheel Chair for Kids now stands at 40, next goal 45.
The committee for the changeover and 75th anniversary is nearly complete and then ready for this special night.
Don’t forget Kings Birthday on Monday so no Rotary.

Albert St Primary School Wheelathon 12 noon to 2pm, Wed 26 June
On behalf of President Lyn, I had the opportunity to speak to the entire Albert St Primary School students at Assembly on Wednesday 5 June. I showed them our demo chair, and then showed them the CHOSEN video. This shows the value of a
WFK chair to the young boy missing both arms and one leg.
They were all very interested and I was able to share the link to the video with the school, so that parents might also be able to view it.

We already have a small group of Rotarians who are attending on the 26 June. We are looking for more, so please let me know if you can come. Anyone attending is invited to a briefing at the school on Friday 21 June 11:15 am.
We hope to have local councillors, Martin Cameron and WIN news in attendance.
The Wheelathon is timely, as over at the factory in Perth, the 60,000th chair is coming off the assembly line on Friday 14 June. An event being attended by State Premier Roger Cook.
More and more people are becoming aware of President Lyn’s project and the above media event will support that.
