Hi Everyone
Hi everyone!

What great news Teagan Micah formally from Moe (daughter of Steve Micah ex Rotarian) will be part of the Matilda’s squad trying out for the Paris Olympics in 2024.
Since December Teagan has been playing in Liverpool as a goal keeper in the Women’s Super Legue.
                                                  GOOG LUCK TEAGAN!

On Monday at our meeting, we spoke on the future of our club. I will take on the role as President for 2024-2025, but I also need a President Elect and Secretary and assistant Treasurer to Di Wilkinson. These are very important roles that need to be filled to keep the club running. We also had discussions on how we can change things to attract new members, and there was great input by all of the members with great ideas.

GREAT NEWS! The total amount raised for Wheel Chairs for Kids is $6279.51 that comes to 22.83 chairs.

Our meeting will be held at the Moe Hotel in Lloyd Street for a 6.15 to 6.30 start we will be having our meals before meetings and we don’t get interrupted during meals.

On Monday night 19th February will be having a Nominating committee followed by a board meeting at Lyns 11 Colli Drive Newborough at 6.30pm

Have a lovely weekend.

That’s all for now.

Hi everyone,  what great weather we have been having hope it keeps up!

Last Monday night we had our Cup Eve night at the Moe RSL. Roger Taylor organized trivia questions about horses racing, Melbourne Cup winners, years of races and a lot more. By the end of the night, we learnt all about race horses. Di Wilkinson taking out first prize for getting the most questions right.

On Saturday morning we were asked by Harvey Norman to do a BBQ for their promotion day. Also, TR FM radio station were there and they also promoted Rotary as well. It was a very successful morning we also had our wheelchair with us and there was a great deal of interest by the public. I would like to thank Robin for bringing the chair down and also the members that came along to help at short notice, even our Councillor Sharon Gibson came along to help us as well.

BBQ outside of Harvey Norman - PP Robin Noakes, President Lyn Cassar, Cr Sharon Gibson, Bill Connell and PP Helen Morrison

On Sunday November 12th we will be doing the car parking for the Moe Earth Market and they are expecting a big crowd on the day so rest up big. I would Like to thank Past President Robin Noakes for all the hard work he has put into organizing it.

There will be no Rotary on Monday 13th November it has been changed to November 15th at Albert Street Primary School for the RJCA community awards. We will be doing a BBQ on the night at 4pm if anyone would like to come along and help that would be great.

The Elvis and Roy Orbison night is going well with 114 people attending on the night, also we have great raffles prizes that have been donated. I hope to raise enough money on the night for four wheelchairs, that would be great.

That’s all for now
Stay Safe
