Nearly there……

Preparation for the Gippsland Rotary Golf Classic is nearly complete. A flurry of final activity as Maureen shared out the info on our roles for Monday 27th. Please read the run sheet sent out on the 19th March, to see what we need you to do.

A big thank you for all involved in pulling this together.

The Board met on Tuesday night and the minutes will be posted in Club Runner, Member area, Club Documents. We will give a brief report to the Club at the next Club Assembly meeting.

Another milestone was celebrated on Wednesday, as the first concrete for the BBQ plinths was poured. Solid as a rock. I hope they are in the right place because there will be no moving them.

Thank you to Dave, Alan and Barry for their tireless efforts. We all slept well Wed night.

I alluded to Di Harrison’s trip to Japan to see the Cherry Blossom, and we wish her a wonderful trip.

Welcome back Sandy, from a great trip to Israel. Looking forward to hearing about your exploits.

And in conclusion, please saddle up and give Monday your utmost support. There are jobs for everyone. Particularly helping clear up at the end.

Action required: Register for this District event

Assembly and Avenues of Service is an excellent opportunity to explore new views and engage with fellow Rotarians, particularly new Rotarians who can learn so much about our amazing organisation.

All Presidents-Elect are required to attend to vote for the District budget. Incoming Treasurers and Secretaries will find attending Avenues an essential education for the incoming year, even for those repeating club roles with years of experience. Your sharing of knowledge and ideas will benefit everyone.

Our 1-day event at Nossal High at Berwick on 22^nd April starts at 9 am for Assembly and Avenues beginning at 10 am. Lunch is provided and the day will finish off with a BBQ tea at 5 pm.

I invite you all to join me on this learning and networking day.
