Club News and Updates
President's Report:
This is my final report for my 6 month term as President. My short term as President has
gone extremely fast and I will look forward to taking up the reigns again later in the year.
Our last dinner meeting for the Rotary year, being Club Assembly, was held last Monday 22nd
June with Chairs and Program Co-ordinators presenting reports and updates arising from
the recent Board meeting.
The previous two Mondays were nonmeeting nights due to the King’s Birthday public
holiday and the scheduled Club Board Meeting.
Reflecting on our Board meetings, both past and present, I’m always struck by the sheer
volume of work our small club undertakes. Month after month, our agendas run to five and
six pages — a clear sign of just how active, committed, and community minded our Chairs
and members are.
I am now looking forward to our Annual Changeover Dinner this coming Monday June 29th
at the Moe Hotel. Starting 6.00 pm for a 6.30 pm sharp.
President Alan
I can now confirm that we will have two District 9815 guests (Barry Rogers and Hannah Flowers)to present their RYPEN information on 13 July. I have informed District Coordinator Robert Cook that we have offered 2 Lowanna students the opportunity to attend with Rotary financing their camp. Diane also spoke to teacher Michael Lakeman and distributed some RYPEN brochures. Now we play the waiting game to see if we have interested starters.
