The Rotary Club of Moe is pleased to announce a shared presidency for the 2025–2026 Rotary year.
Len Cairns will serve as President from July to December 2025, with Alan Bishop assuming the role from January to June 2026.
Together, Presidents Len and Co President Alan are united in their commitment to the Rotary International theme, “Unite for Good.”
Last Monday, Linda Rowley presented on Cyber Safety for Seniors. Great ideas and the
presentation raised lots of strategies to avoid scams and to operate our computers and
phones with more safety. Thank you, Linda, and the Latrobe Valley Village for facilitating this
event.
We also had a visit for the meeting from Alan Tatlow and his son Dan. Alan is a member of
the Rotary Club of Warragul and Dan lives locally in Moe. We shared a lot of fellowship and
swapped information.
On Wednesday we had the presentation of Certificates function for our Rotary Junior
Community Awards at Albert Street Primary School with 6th Grade students from South
Street, Willow Grove, Elizabeth Street and Albert Street Primary Schools being presented
with successful completion Certificates in front of teachers, parents and lots of family
members. There was a very good turn-out for the event and the students reports were
discussed with each student receiving detailed feedback on their diaries. Thanks to
Principal, Dr Monique Osborn, for hosting the function at Albert Street and for the
Rotarians who provided a sausage sizzle. Great work from the Rotarians who read
students diaries and reports of the activities they undertook for the award (Diane
Wilkinson, Robin Noakes, Roger Taylor, Ross Maxfield. Also, thanks to Kate Noakes who
took lots of photos).
No club meeting this coming Monday, 17th as it is Board meeting night at the home of the
Bishops.
Secretary Maureen is arranging the Christmas lunch meeting so keep your eye on the date.
venue and timing in notices.

Rotary Junior Community Award Program
19 Year 6 students from 4 local schools successfully completed the Rotary Junior Community Award program during Terms 2 and 3 of 2025, but it was during October and November that Rotary highlighted their achievements. Two programs were set aside for ASPS (Albert Street), SSPS (South Street) and ESPS (Elizabeth Street) students to report to our club, while some Rotarians attended a School Assembly at Willow Grove PS where students shared their Rotary journey. Both forms of providing feedback to Rotary were most acceptable.
The 2025 intake took the total number of RJCA graduates to 238 in the 12 years since we commenced this program in 2014. 106 of these students have represented ESPS with a further 88 coming from ASPS. Six different state schools have now been involved, with South Street PS being involved for the first time, while it was the second year for WGPS.
