Thanks to all for good attendance on the 3rd Oct. Undoubtedly it was due to the pull of guest speaker Michael Koch, who shared with us the highs and lows of his recent trip to Bunutan School in Bali. We were also pleased to welcome to the meeting guest, past Rotarian, Neil McClusky, who had accompanied Michael on his trip. Michael took us through a summary of the support we have given the school since 2009. Quite an impressive list of achievements. It seems that government departments in all countries have their own ways of doing things and the current challenge is to evaluate support for a toilet relocation, which is needed due to their pending demolition due to class room extensions. Thank you Michael for a comprehensive report.
Earlier Roger Taylor had called for expressions of support from Club members to nominate help with particular aspects of the Golf Day on 27 March 2023. Please contact Roger to indicate your area of interest.
Len and Barry reported that slab removal is about to commence with the Botanic Garden rebuild.
Roger also led a discussion around the regarding the renewal of the Rotary Youth Exchange Program. In summary members thought the program was a good idea but did not have the capacity to help in the program. Roger will respond to the questionnaire, as requested by District 9820.
I was pleased that the Strategic Plan which had been circulated to members was accepted without further comment, so will go to the Board for formal adoption.

At the close of the meeting the tribute to Australia will be presented by Kishor Manani.
