Hi everyone!

What a week we have had with the weather, hopefully we have seen the last of it.

Di Wilkinson and I attended the Gippsland Community Workshop on Saturday at Century House. There were eleven
clubs that participated in the program. It was interesting to hear how about other clubs strengths such as age group, Service projects, Rotary Programs, growth of membership and challenges they come across.

On Father’s Day at Old Gippstown it was their annual car show. We were kept busy on the day cooking egg and bacon sandwiches. There was a lot of different cars to look at on the day. I would like to thank Alan Bishop, Len Cairns, Bill Connell and Helen Morrison for your help on the day.

On September 12th we have been asked by Energy Australia to cook egg and bacon sandwiches for the workers on RUOK day. We are looking for one more volunteer to help on the day, it will be a very early start. If can help please let Alan Bishop know. Remember many hands make light work.

This month is Education and Literacy month, our guest speaker on Monday night will be Len Cairns from Monash University.

Behind the badge this week is Julian Yeatman.

Next meeting will be at the Moe Hotel on September 9th for a 6.00-6.15 start.

That’s all for now

President
Lyn
