I hope everyone had a good long weekend as we celebrated the King’s birthday. My news for the club is quite sparse as there is not a lot to report. Many of us on the Board are getting ready for changeover on the 26th.
I am able to report some good news about John and Norma Hutchinson.
Norma has made some good progress with her rehab. Having moved from Mornington to Rosebud hospital rehab, her physiotherapist is pleased with her. She may be able to join John in his aged care home at The Village Glen, Rosebud, fairly soon. Peter and Kate Hutchinson are the contact points at the moment.
I wish Sandy Auger a speedy recovery from a nasty cold/flu like virus. She sounded rough when we spoke the other day.
If anyone remembers it, I will be a fair cop fine for the Collingwood v Melbourne game last Monday. I was giving birthday boy, Alan Bishop, some curry at the start of the game, but was biting my nails in the last 10 minutes. I now understand the term “could a been”.
The unveiling of the memorial plaque for Pash will be celebrated on Sunday 2nd July in the Botanical Gardens at the Memorial Wall at 1.30pm.
Afternoon tea will follow and will be served in the Tennis Clubrooms.
All members and partners are welcome.
As this is being catered for can you please RSVP to Ross Maxfield on 0401 660222 by 23rd June.
