A lovely gathering in Apex/Lions Park was held on Monday night with eleven Moe Rotarians socialising together sheltered from the weather! Thank you to Roger for securing the venue.
This Monday is the 1st Monday of the month and is set aside for committee meetings. Committee Chairs – Alan Bishop (Community), Robin Noakes (Youth/Vocational),
and Diane Wilkinson (International/Foundation), will contact respective committee members regarding meeting details.
I completed my short stint of jury service during the week and have been excused from further service for at least two years. So, I can now plan my week ahead!
Thank you to Peter Kingsbury for passing on names and contact details of three prospective members. I will be in touch with them and will organise a face-to-face meeting sometime this coming week. Hopefully, they will be keen to join our wonderful organisation and become Moe Rotarians.
Planning for the annual Golf Day in March is progressing well, thanks to Roger and Maureen, who are working hard to ensure another wonderful event will happen at the Newborough Golf Course on Monday 28th March. Please save the date.
If you are available to assist with raffle ticket sales, please contact Bill Connell.
Lastly, thank you to all our members who are staying connected with fellow Rotarians. Times are difficult and stressful for various reasons and so, maintaining friendship during these COVID-times, is vitally important. In the words of Paul P Harris:
'The foundation upon which Rotary is built is friendship;
on no less firm foundation could it have stood'
Take care everyone and stay safe.
