PERSONAL BIO - Greg King

Greg King is a Rotary Foundation Fellow having been granted a Technical Award to
study business management in the printing industry in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, for the
1976-77 academic year. This scholarship is now known as an Ambassadorial Award.
Greg has worked in the publishing industry since before the introduction of decimal
currency in a variety of management and consultative roles. He commenced his own
business in December 1979 and has been self-employed ever since.

He co-founded the trade magazine TimberTrader News in 1985 acquiring the total
shareholding of the publication in 1992. TimberTrader News is a national, subscription

continuing his Rotary life by becoming an active member of Rotary Warragul.

Dear Rotary Club of Moe,

We are incredibly excited to announce RYLA 2026 will be on 6 to 11 July 2026!

The Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) is a 6-day leadership conference for 18 to 30 year-olds to discover their potential, build connections and gain practical skills.

Now is the time to start identifying potential participants that your club could sponsor.

Applications are open now! The participant application form and more information about RYLA can be accessed here: https://linktr.ee/ryla9815

Attached is a RYLA 2026 Flyer, as well as an Impact Report for RYLA 2025 to let you know about last year’s program. The RYLA team is also keen to help your club find participants, so if you would like any specialised promotional material or other resources to target certain participants, please let us know.

Sponsoring a participant or leader for RYLA 2026 will be $1,650 (inc. GST), the same as last year.

You may have also heard that RYPEN is coming back! The Rotary Youth Program of Enrichment (RYPEN) is a 3-day enrichment program for 14 to 17 year-olds, and it will be returning in September 2026! The RYPEN team will be in touch soon to introduce themselves and let you know more about RYPEN.

The RYLA and RYPEN teams are also happy to visit your club as a guest speaker to discuss the programs in person. If you would like us to come and present at your club, please let us know.

We really enjoyed our club visits throughout 2025, especially seeing RYLA participants give presentations to their sponsor clubs. I was inspiring to see them share their experiences, reflect on their personal growth, and talk about what they gained from the RYLA conference. It’s amazing to see the real-world benefit that RYLA has had on so many people.

We look forward to discussing RYLA 2026 with you! In the meantime, feel free to email with any questions that you may have.

Kind regards,

The RYLA 9815 Team
