As Attendance Officer,  I collect data for Club records each weekly and submit to District every month. It is valuable for Club records to show the Attendance and Absences, and make-ups. Please advise your absence for a meeting, in a timely manner- holidays, work, meetings etc. Unfortunately, sickness cannot be predicted, so apologies on the day, right up to the final hour, is reasonable.

You can "make up" a meeting absence in many ingenious ways:
  • attending another Club, while on leave (also on-line e-Club, neighbouring Club on another day)
  • attending a Rotary organised function (Trivia night, Drugs and Alcohol night, non-Monday night Committee meeting)
  • representing Rotary within the Community (e.g. bbq, raffle ticket sales, Easter Day collections, Centenary House, District training meeting, Conference)
This is recorded as being present but excuses from being present on the regular Monday night of the meeting. Newer members should take note if they have not been advised at sign on process. If you just dont attend or put in an apology, it is marked as an apology. But you can claim "make up" by several ways, ensuring your absence has been recorded accordingly. For those wanting 100% attendance, this is an ideal way to get some ticks for absences from Monday night meeting
