Dear President and Club Members,
My name is Robert Cook and I am the District 9820 Rotaract Representative for the current year. I am writing to introduce myself and explain my role.
The District Rotaract Representative is a contact person between Rotarians and Rotaract clubs, and assists with cooperation between Rotary and Rotaract in the district. I am part of the Rotary District Leadership Team, in which I will advocate for Rotaractors in the district. I am also a member of the Rotaract Australia Council, an organisation of Rotaractors from all Australian districts which runs nation-wide Rotaract events.
If you or members of your club would like to know more about Rotaract and how it can be more involved in Rotary, please feel free to contact me. Also, if you would like me and other Rotaractors to guest speak at one of your club’s meetings we would be happy to arrange that.
Earlier this month, our district got its first dual Rotary-Rotaract members when two Rotaractors where inducted as Rotarians. I am eager to further build relationships between Rotarians and Rotaractors by supporting each other’s events and projects. If you would like Rotaract involved in an event I am able to put you in contact with the best person. Also, if your club runs or knows of youth programmes, Rotaract will be able to support those and benefit through cross promotion.
If you would like to contact me feel free to email me at 9820@rotaract.org.au or call on 0422 173 360.
Yours in Rotary,
Robert Cook
