My name is Florian Sutterlüty and I am a Rotary Exchange Student from Austria.

I arrived on the 9th of August in Melbourne. The first impressions of Australia were great and they get better and better. Since I am here, I did a lot of exciting things. The first days were strange and I missed friends, family and home, but I think that's normal.

After four weeks I had my first Rotary Camp. I met all the other Exchange Students in District 9820. It was awesome. The people are so nice and you make friends all over the world in only two days. In April we will have the "Rock to Reef". That's a big trip with the bus to Uluru, Alice Spring, Great Barrier Reef and Sydney. I already saw a few things here in Victoria. The "Great Ocean Road" and fishing in the sea were highlights since I am here. It was so beautiful and the Country is so different to Austria. I am enjoying every single day staying in Down Under. Newborough is a very cute little Town, it's also not far from Melbourne. That's a positive aspect. Going to school is very exciting, meeting some Australian people, talk about FOOTY and eat some meatpies for lunch. The last two months, have been some of the best times of my life. I learned so much things about a different culture, saw different animals and made new friends.

Thank you to the Rotary Club of Moe, the Rotary Club of Bregenzerwald and the people I can stay with through the whole year.
