Vale Pash Demagistris
Members of the Rotary Club of Moe, are deeply saddened by the loss of Pash and wish to extend their deepest sympathy, to Sandra, John, Michael & Tamara and the family.
Pash was introduced to Rotary by Geoffrey Somerville on the 14 December,1992 and has been an outstanding contributor to the Moe community through his dedication to Rotary service for more than 24 years. He gave over a third of his life to Rotary. He was a most valued and respected Rotarian.
Pash joined Rotary to serve the community and serve he has. He was appointed to the community service committee where he rolled up his sleeves and put his building and construction skills to work.
Over the years he worked on many club projects such as -
  • Blue Rock Classic – setting up and cleaning up, as well as acting as marshall.
  • Worked on the Moe Rail Trail
  • Construction of the fishing platform on Narracan Creek
  • The Rotary storage shed- which included construction as well concreting.
In the Botanic Gardens he worked tirelessly on:
  • Installation of bbq tables & seats
  • Erection and restoration of the rotunda
  • Installation of the light towers
  • Took responsibility of the total construction of the pavilion
Other work included:
  • Construction of a gazebo & rebound wall at Raringa Special School
  • Rotary district bushfire appeal at Gelantipy in the high country

Pash became a huge source of inspiration to all Rotarians and without his help we would never have started or achieved many of the projects we have.

In 2005 Pash was awarded a Paul Harris FellowRotary’s highest award to a Rotarian, for the significant contribution he had made to Rotary and the community.

In 2011-12 Pash was president of the club.

He stated that being president had been a truly wonderful and fulfilling year and that he could not have achieved it without Sandra’s wonderful support.

Pash was a man who brightened our lives with a smile and a quirky sense of humour.
Pash has left lasting memories around the community of Moe, not only through his business connections, but also through his service through Rotary

Thank you Pash, for sharing your life with the Rotary Club of Moe
You have lived the Rotary motto -Service Above Self.
